It was announced Monday night that the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago, a resort in Palm Beach, Florida. Mar-a-lago is owned by former President Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States called the resort home for the last several months. The media was ‘tipped off’ by sources that the FBI executed a search warrant before the raid occurred. The FBI raid is the first in U.S. on a former President. Donald Trump was in New York during the raid, he later revealed that the FBI even broke into his private safe and took 15 boxes of material. As of now there has not been an announcement as to the reason of the raid.
Trump took to social media shortly after with a statement, saying “These are dark times for our nation.”
