On Saturday April 16th, 2022 the USFL came back after a multi-decade plus long absence. The New Jersey Generals went up against the Birmingham Stallions. Despite the stadium being fairly empty despite the tickets being around $10, there was a huge turnout from the TV crowds and streamers. Just over 3 million people tuned into the game with the highest peak of 3.5 million occurring at 10:45pm EST. The Stallions would win the game in the final several seconds with a touchdown, taking down the Generals 28-24 for the first game of the 2022 season.
