Tom Brady Announces Retirement After 23 Seasons In The NFL

Updated: May 18, 2023

HERE WE GO AGAIN: It was reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter that Tom Brady has announced retirement from the NFL.

This is Brady’s second retirement announcement, he made one last offseason to only retract it several days later. This retirement announcement was posted on Brady’s Twitter early Wednesday morning.

Brady played 23-years in the NFL, 20 of those seasons being with the New England Patriots and his final three being in Tampa Bay with the Buccaneers. Tom Brady had a career stat line of 251-82-0 | 89,214 PA | 64.3 CMP% | 649-212 TD-INT | 97.2 QBR. Brady won seven Super Bowls, earning the nickname ‘The GOAT’ (Greatest Of All Time).

The craziest thing about Tom Brady’s career is the fact he was drafted in the sixth round (199th overall) and wasn’t even expected to make it out of his rookie preseason. The Patriots bet on him and won massively.
