NYCFC On Verge Of First Championship Win; Would Snap Huge Losing Streak For New York Teams'

NYCFC is in the MLS Finals for the first time in franchise history as they are set to take on the Portland Timbers on Saturday, December 11th. NYCFC went 14-9-11 in the regular season with 51-points as they were the 4th best team in the East, going out to the Western Conference we saw Portland be the 4th best with 55-points and a 17-4-13 record. Going into Saturday’s match has NYCFC projected to win, the New York City team has only been in the MLS since 2015 and has made the playoffs all but their first year in the league. New York has not had a championship win in any sport since February 5th, 2012 when the New York Giants beat the New England Patriots 21-17, that was 3,595 days ago. NYCFC can snap the losing streak on the 3,598th day with the winning of he 2021 MLS Cup.
