New York Rangers Re-Sign Sammy Blais

The New York Rangers have re-signed Forward Sammy Blais. This signing comes just days after the New York team was eliminated from the playoffs, losing 3-2 in the East Finals against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Blais signing is reported to be just under his qualifying offer at $1,525,000. When the contract becomes expired Blais will be a UFA, overall this one-year contract will give the Rangers a chance to see what they have before a possible long term commitment.
