Maurice Canady Can Give The New York Giants The Depth They Need

Updated: May 18, 2023

The New York Giants have signed Maurice Canady, a former 6th round pick (209th OVR) in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. After being released by the Ravens in the middle of the 2019 season Canady then signed with the New York Jets, playing the final six games of the season with that team. Maurice Canady would then sign with the Dallas Cowboys, but would option out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns, he started six games for the Cowboys last year. In a total of 40-games Candy has 86 tackles (70 solos) with one interception, a force fumble and a fumble recovery. The CB has fallen victim to the injury bug several times, falling on the IR list four times with other IL stints. Overall though if Canady can stay healthy he would provide the Cornerback depth that the Giants need going into the 2022/23 NFL season.
