Charlotte Hornets player LaMelo Ball has won the KIA Rookie of The Year award after having a truly amazing season and basically carrying the Hornets into a play-in spot in this years playoff run. In 51 games Ball's splits were 15.7 / 5.9 / 6.1 and from the paint he got the ball in 43% of the time along with 35% from downtown. In those 51 games LaMelo appeared in the starting five for 31 of those, mainly due to him receiving an injury which kept him sidelined for several games. Despite that Ball was ballin' when on court and when he came back he went straight to work, he have not seen a rookie like that since LeBron James.
It will be interesting to see how LaMelo will preform in his sophomore season.
