Coast Guard Academy has announced a rebrand for all of their sports teams. The rebrand is built around honor, respect and devotion to duty.
CGA still keeps their bear logo, which is inspired by the Alaskan Kodiak. The bear is symbolic of the Coast Guard’s small yet mighty presence. The posture of the bear is shown to be strong and charging, showing the Coast Guard’s spirit of facing all missions head-on.
One noticeable feature is the racing stripe on all of the logos. CGA Director of Athletics Dr. Dan Rose, said, “The Coast Guard racing stripe is iconic. Having that imagery embedded in our new family of marks aligns our athletic programs more overtly with the operational Coast Guard.”
CGA will have the new logos debut this upcoming school year.
